Back in action, after a long respite.

No explanation necessary.
Song: “Nantes” by Beirut, “Over and Over Again” by Clap Your Hands Say Yeah

Currently reading: On the Road, Kerouac.

Ten days left before move back to Boston. I’m tired of never living in the same place, but relieved that I finally figured out where I want to live after The Big Event.

On my mind lately:

Go get ’em, Barney! (Too bad the nutty lady is kind of cute.)

Brilliant, interesting, and contributing to my lengthy examination of society’s expectations of relationships, monogamy, and ownership (and why so many relationships/marriages end because of ‘unfaithfulness’) As one attempting to create/preserve/maintain a successful and not necessarily monogamous relationship, this issue always catches my eye.

Same.

I am so incredibly fed up with the inane insane ignorant ill-conceived hysteria flying around about health care reform, I can hardly stomach any more media coverage about it. If Obama caves, it will be disappointing. I just came from a country that has one of the highest-functioning and most trusted healthcare systems on the planet, and it is almost entirely government-run. Seems like what this country needs, in terms of economy, education, and healthcare, is a total government takeover. But then again, I’m not going to stay here much longer.

I love that this is the kind of thing that makes headlines in Sverige.

Personal updates: tickets purchased for 3-wk jaunt to Sverige for Christmas/New Year’s. Apparent fluency level of a 5-6-year-old. Schedule finalised for fall semester, job nailed down, some decent poems written in past half year, restlessly soaking up the remaining days of summer. Adjö.
